Seychelles Designs was formed after I decided to turn my jewellery making hobby into a business. I had been making jewellery for many years and decided to try my hand at making tiaras after getting engaged to my husband Ed. I started out selling my tiaras on Ebay under the name of SwirlyGirly and began getting commissions to make more designs along with matching jewellery.

I set up this website to showcase the wide range of jewellery I offer, which is constantly evolving. If you are wondering what the unusual names of the tiaras mean - they are all named after islands and regions in the Seychelles. I would tell you where the name of the business came from, but it's a very long story! All I will say is that it has something to do with my husband, a Beastie Boys' song and a rather dodgy bottle of white wine...

Most of my designs feature Swarovski crystals, particularly the "Aurora Borealis" type. These shimmery crystals have a prism-like effect which reflects all the colours of the rainbow. I tend to make my designs with silver-plated wire, but every design is also available in gold plate too. I can also use different coloured crystals. The shades I have in stock are: light rose, fuchsia, ruby, sapphire, light blue, emerald green and lilac. I am quite happy for customers to send me a swatch of fabric to make sure that the colours match up.
